Who we are

Matloga Dento was founded in 2008 and Dr MM Matloga Inc in 2013 both by Dr. Mashao Meshack Matloga.

It specializes in installation of dental equipments, supply of dental instruments, dental consumables including dental materials and PPE’s.

Dr MM Matloga Inc renders affordable oral health services to the marginalised people of our country.

  • About The Founder

  • Dr. Mashao Meshack Matloga completed a Bachelor Of Dental Therapy (BDT) Degree in 1998 and Bachelor of Dental Science (BDS) Degree in 2005 at MEDUNSA. In 2008, after completion of 3 years community service, he founded his Private Practice in Polokwane. In 2014, he aquired a Certificate in Thought Leadership with Thabo Mbeki African Leadership Institution. In 2018, he aquired a Post Graduate Diploma in Paediatric Dentistry with the University Of Western Cape (UWC). He is currently enrolled for Post Graduate Diploma in Implantology with UWC.

    Conservative Dentistry

    Cleaning of teeth

    Teeth cleaning is part of oral hygiene and involves the removal of dental plaque from teeth with the intention of preventing cavities, gingivitis, and periodontal disease.

    Filling of teeth

    A dental restoration or dental filling is a treatment to restore the function, integrity, and morphology of missing tooth structure resulting from caries or external trauma as well as to the replacement of such structure supported by dental implants.

    Oral Health Education

    Oral health education is referred to as the process of provision of the oral health information in such a way to the people that they apply the principles daily to everyday living. Oral health education helps to develop desirable dental health attitude and habits.


    A dental extraction (also referred to as tooth extraction, exodontia, exodontics, or informally, tooth pulling) is the removal of teeth from the dental alveolus (socket) in the alveolar bone. Extractions are performed for a wide variety of reasons, but most commonly to remove teeth which have become unrestorable through tooth decay, periodontal disease, or dental trauma, especially when they are associated with toothache.

    Removal of Impacted Teeth(Malpositioned)

    To remove the impacted tooth: An incision is made in your gums so the infected teeth and jawbone can be reached. Once the teeth are extracted, you may need stitches to close the incision. The socket where your teeth were located will be packed with gauze to control bleeding and promote healing.

    Rootcanal treatment

    A root canal is a treatment used to repair and save a tooth that is badly decayed or becomes infected. During a root canal procedure, the nerve and pulp are removed and the inside of the tooth is cleaned and sealed. Without treatment, the tissue surrounding the tooth will become infected and abscesses may form.

  • Chrome Cobalt Denture
  • A chrome cobalt partial denture is designed and cast to accurately fit all the palatal contours, rotations and embrasures of the teeth. Ring clasps that accurately fit around the teeth are added to help retain the denture in the mouth. ... This enables the denture to withstand the biting forces from the opposing teeth.

    2. Fixed False Teeth

    Fixed dentures - also know as non-removable dentures - are basically denture devices that consist of a row of prosthetic teeth connected to a framework that is held in position by dental implants.

    B). Orthodontic: Removable Appliance, e.g Tongue gate

    A removable appliance is made from a plastic plate with wires coming from the sides. These grip the teeth to keep the brace in place. Removable appliances have a limited number of uses, mainly because they are restricted to moving single teeth and widening either the upper or lower arches

    B). Orthodontic: Fixed Appliance Braces

    Fixed appliances like braces are attached to the teeth by metal bands or special cement. They aren't normally taken off until treatment is complete. ... While clear aligners can be effective in treating mild to moderate orthodontic problems, fixed appliances are generally needed for more comprehensive treatment.
